Back around 2002 Prince started the NPG Music Club. For a fee you could access to unreleased Prince music. He did a monthly mix called NPG Ahdio. “My Medallion” is a tune that was featured on the site.
“No Call U” is a blast from the past. I need to find some stuff with Prince cursing. Those were the good old days.
From the never released “Dream Factory” album later to be released on the Crystal Ball box set comes “Dream Factory?” I remember when Prince sold the Dream Factory CD through the Internet. What a disaster. Glad I got it from the store.
Xenophobia. From the One Nite Alone tour of 2003 is a song that should have been on the Xpectation album. This is Prince in his experimental jazz period.
Back with more Prince. “Chocolate” appeared on The Time’s “Pandemonium” album which featured the return on Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Originally the album was gonna be called “Corporate World” but was scrapped for “Pandemonium” instead. More to come.
OK this song passed The Nod Factor so I had to post. This is from Prince’s “Eff Warner Brothers” period. He put out a record with his band NPG called Exodus. This is an alternate mix of the first song on the album “Get Wild.”
